Cheerio Christmas Trees

Prep time:  5 Minutes  Cook time:  10 minutes

6 cups Cheerios cereal

1 10 oz bag large marshmallows

3 T unsalted butter

20 drops green food coloring

assorted candies for decorating

Heat butter in a large pot over medium heat.  Once butter has melted add in the bag of marshmallows.  Allow marshmallows to melt while stirring often.  Squeeze in enough drops of food coloring to created your desired greenness.  I used about 20.  Stir and remove from heat.  Pour in your cheerios and stir until well combined.  Allow to cool until you are able to handle.

Note:  you can use cooking spray on your hand to avoid sticking

Now shape your christmas trees and decorate with candies.  Get ready to chow down, because these are super tasty!
