  1. I love tasty meals that can be made inexpensively. I don’t have a family to cook for, but I’m always looking to save money when I can. Looking forward to your “saving money” week!!

  2. I’m in!!!! And I actually mean it this time :)

  3. Very good! So important to find ways to feed the family as inexpensively as possible, yet making sure they have enough protein in their diet. We all need to be working on this, especially because commodity prices are rising quickly and we better get ready for even higher food prices!

  4. Love this idea! I’m trying to cook with whatever we have in the pantry/fridge this week w/o going to the grocery store!

  5. It’s French onion soup for us tonight…also a pretty cheap meal :)

  6. Love this idea!! Everyday Food Magazine does 5 dinners for a week and usually you re-use the same type of meat etc… it is such a good idea! I just went through my freezer and pantry and made dinners up for what I already have.

  7. i didn’t use any credit cards for purchases this year, but i can always appreciate an inexpensive meal anyway! good job for the new year, anne

  8. LOVE this! We could all save a little money these days :) GREAT IDEA!!! Thanks for sharing…

  9. Great idea! Then maybe I won’t get yelled at like I did last night… “You only make food you like, you never make food we like and then when we don’t eat your food you won’t give us dessert!” Well, Sugar, your food is Kraft Mac and hot dogs and Mamma’s just not gonna feed you that every night! FTR It was grilled pork chops with tomato, feta, and balsamic vinegar (I gave them plain cherry tomatoes) and romaine topped with cucumber- yogurt sauce! OY!
