I feel so special because my girl, Shell at one of my favorite blogs Things I Can’t Say gave me my very first blog award. Thanks Shell! Feel like she’s my long lost sister as we’re both dealing with a hubs, 3 young boys, and a whole lot of crazies. Anyway, moving on…
The rules that go along with this award say that you have to list 10 ten things that make you happy. Well, there are a bunch so here we go…
1. The adorable hubs who loves me no matter how big the butt is looking and supports me in all my crazy endeavors.
2. The boys, because even though they drive me crazy on a daily basis, they make me laugh all the time and every time I put them to bed 10 minutes later I miss them and want to wake them up and hug them…then put them to bed again and have a glass of wine.
3. Mommy friends! I never knew the importance of women in my life until I was an adult. My mommy friends keep me sane, remind me that I am Alex, not only the boys’ mom, allow me to vent, and keep me young. Included in that is all of you new bloggie friends too. What would I do without you???
4. I’m taking this from my girl Shell…SLEEP. If you have kids then you know what a blessing a FULL NIGHT of sleep is.
5. Great books. I love to read and lose myself in wonderful stories that I could never have thought of on my own.
6. Pedicures. Is there anything better than someone making your toes pretty and rubbing your feet?
7. Health. I feel so blessed that everyone in my family is healthy and happy.
8. Food. If you haven’t guessed, I love to eat and cook. I don’t understand people who don’t like to eat or who say they don’t live to eat, they eat to live??? Um, what????
9. A well timed rain storm with a crackling fire. I know it’s lame but out here in Los Angeles we don’t get too many.
10. A vacation with my family. Wherever, whenever, as long as we’re together.
Oh my was that so lame? Did I get sappy? I’m so not sappy. Anyway, so now the deal is that I have to pass this along to 10 other deserving bloggers so here we go….

Oh my goodness…thank you so much! It’s actually quite amazing that the rule to this award is listing 10 things that make me happy. I have really been focusing on those things lately. I had been feeling really blue and decided that I would “fake it till I make it” make my whole outlook better by thinking of the MANY wonderful gifts in my life. Every time I begin to think of something negative or hurtful…I make myself remember something positive and happy. It really does work. We all have worries and troubles…but the good stuff is very powerful!
Thank you again for thinking of me. This will surely be one of my positives when skies are gray!
P.s. I had 3 boys too…but I tried one more time for that little princess. I got her and WHEW let me tell ya..she was one tough ring tailed tooter. Probably why I enjoy babysitting my little great niece so much.
Your little boys are so cute…I enjoyed the video of you guys making Sushi…they reminded me of my guys when they were little. The one licking the mayo reminded me of my Stephen.
