I’d like the thank the members of the Academy for this honor…ooops, once again, wrong speech. I’ve just had that one in the arsenal for so damn long and I’ve been dying to give it. Ahem, let’s begin again shall we?
I’d like to thank Tiffany and Heather and all the amazing bloggers at The Secret is in the Sauce. Haven’t been there yet? It’s a-mazing! A wonderful community of bloggers that comes together to support and encourage one another. And today, as luck would have it, it’s ALL ABOUT ME! Yup, I said it, I’m the Queen For A Day otherwise known as the Featured Blogger. So if you’re new here, pour yourself a drink and pull up a chair to the Fitzpatrick’s kitchen table. I hope you’re all hungry!
Ok, let’s get to the good stuff first. Here are a few of our favorite posts…Please check them out, and many others if you like and leave me some love. All I ask is that you say something slightly relevant, we’ll all know you didn’t read any of this if you just leave a Happy SITS day and move on, you know who you are, we ALL know who you are don’t we SITStas? Alrighty then, enough chit-chat, on with the show…
1. The boys and I whip up some homemade sushi – ok, it’s not sushi, but it sure looks like it in
2. Giggle and hopefully commiserate as I fight the signs of aging in
3. Help me as I try to discover what on earth happened, as if I want to know, in
The Case of the Missing Toothbrush
4. And one more recipe for good luck…as grilling season is upon us whip up some
Inside Out Bacon Cheeseburgers
Now…let me tell you a bit about us…
So who are we? Well we’re the Fighting Fitzpatricks…
My three adorable little boys and I have taken to the kitchen in an attempt to get them to eat things that are more than just beige. I was so sick of Keegan, Brady, and Cooper eating nothing but chicken nuggets, french fries, and plain pasta that I had to do something…anything. I had attempted all the tried and true versions of meals…I put it in muffin tins, I hid spinach puree in brownies, but I wanted my kids to actually WANT to eat, and enjoy good food so I teamed up with them…And voila, Ma, What’s For Dinner was born.
We hope you enjoy your time here, have a look around. Like what you see? Well then, join us…drink the kool-aid. Kidding kidding! Seriously though, join us over there on the side bar and become a follower.
Really, it’s cool to be a follower. We’re on Facebook, Google friend connect, twitter…OH Oh Oh…you can also now buy our book!!! It’s finally available for sale. Pick up a copy here and feel good about feeding your family AND helping a worthwhile charity. We donate 15% of all profits to Fight SMA a wonderful charity that helps children fighting Spinal Muscular Atrophy, the number one killer of children under the age of 2. Our very good friend, Billy Therriault, is waging a very brave battle against this horrible disease.
Oh, look at you…still here. I’m so glad. I know, I know, you need more. Well, my Ma taught me right, I’m nothing if not a good hostess! If you’re in the mood for more then feel free to check out these little ditties…
Cooper and I created a whole new style of meals, we call them One Arm Wonders because you can make them with one had tied behind your back, or in my case, carting your little man around the kitchen who is having a bad day…watch us make
Hawaiian Pizza – One Arm Wonder style
Giggle at our smiling mugs in our latest press in Green Home & Family magazine
Laugh as I try not to kill my middle child, Brady in
Need Mommy Advice? Wrestle that binky from your child’s death grip in
And what great luck! My very first giveaway ends today at midnight eastern time so be sure to enter the contest, I announce the winner next week.
We hope you’ve enjoyed your time here. We’ve so enjoyed having you. Please come back soon. We’re always whipping up something special and fun here and answering the scariest question known to mankind…
Ma????? What’s For Dinner????
Lots of yummy love,
Ma

happy belated sits day!
You have a great blog. I’ve really enjoyed my visit and will be back again soon.
So nice to meet you! I’m a grandmom from CT – you have some terrific recipes that I’m sure my family would enjoy!
Enjoyed reading about your background and will be back to visit your blog frequently. Going to try those one-armed wonders!
hey, looked at your “about me” area, very impressive!! and i watched one of your webisodes, amazing how you cook with a kiddo on your hip, you’re good! you wouldn’t catch me dead doing that!
so, on my blog, in the “about me” area….i have been putting where all my recipes come from. i was going to do yours the same, like put your website on there, then list all of the recipes i have gotten from your site and made into cards!
and i saw where you have the area “do you have a product that you want ma to review?”….so, do you think i have a chance at making a book out of these? i told my husband when i started doing them, i eventually wanted to look into it. my thoughts are having 2 recipes cards (perforated)per page (4X6)…then people could leave them in the book, or rip them out and put the into their own books/box. that is why i have them up right now on my blog…. i have been wanting to get some kind of feed back….like do women even like them??
anywho, would LOVE to hear more about how you went about publishing your book….as i have been looking into it over the past couple months, it seems daunting. so, would LOVE a review from you ma!!
thanks in advance….so glad i have met you!
lisa
First of all, Happy SITS day!
Secondly, I am SOOO enjoying your spunk and attitude – that takes us moms far in life.
Thirdly, I have been searching blogs this week SOLEY for this purpose of feeding my kids things they will eat…I think it is a sign you were the featured blooger! Can’t wait to dig in!
Congrats on your BIG day – I love your writing style – sound like you have a great sense of humor
Very cool that you have a cookbook and a cause – WELL DONE!
I’m a little late, but I hope you had a fabulous SITS day.
I’m stopping by from SITS a little late for your SITS day, but I hope it was good for you.
I *love* the idea of ‘one arm wonders’! How I needed that when my children were on the hip.
Great site!
