mas memoirs SITStas in the House! I’d like the thank the members of the Academy for this honor…ooops, once again, wrong speech.  I’ve just had that one in the arsenal for so damn long and I’ve been dying to give it.  Ahem, let’s begin again shall we?

I’d like to thank Tiffany and Heather and all the amazing bloggers at The Secret is in the Sauce.  Haven’t been there yet?  It’s a-mazing!  A wonderful community of bloggers that comes together to support and encourage one another.  And today, as luck would have it, it’s ALL ABOUT ME!  Yup, I said it, I’m the Queen For A Day otherwise known as the Featured Blogger.  So if you’re new here, pour yourself a drink and pull up a chair to the Fitzpatrick’s kitchen table.  I hope you’re all hungry!

Ok, let’s get to the good stuff first.  Here are a few of our favorite posts…Please check them out, and many others if you like and leave me some love.  All I ask is that you say something slightly relevant, we’ll all know you didn’t read any of this if you just leave a Happy SITS day and move on, you know who you are, we ALL know who you are don’t we SITStas?  Alrighty then, enough chit-chat, on with the show…

mas memoirs SITStas in the House! So who are we?  Well we’re the Fighting Fitzpatricks…

mas memoirs SITStas in the House!

Keegan

My three adorable little boys and I have taken to the kitchen in an attempt to get them to eat things that are more than just beige.  I was so sick of Keegan, Brady, and Cooper eating nothing but chicken nuggets, french fries, and plain pasta that I had to do something…anything.  I had attempted all the tried and true versions of meals…I put it in muffin tins, I hid spinach puree in brownies, but I wanted my kids to actually WANT to eat, and enjoy good food so I teamed up with them…And voila, Ma, What’s For Dinner was born.

  12. A blog about REAL food? Right up my alley. Over at the Cellulite Investigation, we’re learning that Real Food is an important part of the elusive anti-cellulite diet. Did you know women from non-industrialized cultures are completely cellulite-free? That little tidbit of info still boggles my mind! Happy SITS day! Off to check out that bacon cheeseburger recipe…

Happiest of SITS days to you! You certainly deserve the recognition.

Ok, let’s get this comment started.

LOVED your Binky Fairy story. How very clever of you. Love the idea. We had our daughter leave her binkies for Santa with a letter asking him to give them to a new baby. She was brave, but it was a ROUGH few days after at bedtime. I’m not looking forward to that again with my son. ‘Course I took it away at 2, so maybe by 3 they’re a little more “prepared”

Laughed at your middle child syndrome. It tends to be rather true. However, my daughter, the older of the two is WAY more high maintenance and Diva than her little brother. So, we’ll see how things play out in the future.

Very clever on the “sushi” roll. I think I’ll give it a whirl. I’m excited to go look around some more for recipe ideas. I actually love cooking, but sometimes, I just get so bogged down in the same recipes that I go on “breaks.”

And finally, you’re adorable, love your sense of humor. Good for you for including your kids in the kitchen, that is NOT an easy thing to do.

Enjoy your day and all your comments.

  17. Traci says:

Holy Crow! Chicken nuggets, french fries, and plain pasta….have you been in my house?!? And the Bink Fairy? Seriously, are we related? Happy SITS Day! I can tell I will get nothing done at work today because I’m going to be reading on your site all freakin’ day! :)

  22. Debby says:

Congratulations on your day to shine with SITS.

  23. Diane says:

Having a collection of recipes you can “cook with one arm” is probably a godsend to lots of young mothers. How I wish there’d been a book out there when my kids were little and I was lugging a toddler around–what a great idea that is. what I don’t get is how you young moms can do the mommmy and wife thing and still have time to blog. AMAZING!! I live by myself and I can barely find the time to keep on top of it all. So, having said that…Enjoy your day to be featured with SITS.

  24. Yeah, what Lacie said! lol I already love your blog. Congratulations on your SITS Day!

    Cheers :-)

  32. Michele says:

Following you from SITS :) This is a really great site. We’re starting to struggle with getting our toddler to eat more than eggs and applesauce and so I’m always looking for good recipes that I can try out on her. I was wondering if you have anything in the cookbook that is plentiful and doesn’t include dairy? My daughter’s allergic and she won’t eat vegetables by themselves. I find myself doing a lot of egg scrambles, but things are so limiting with no cheese! I’m hoping she grows out of it.

Congratulations on your day and such a successful site!

  33. Rene W. says:

  49. Happy Happy SITS Day! Terrific blog here! “A GREY HAIR” LOL I’ve lost count for more then a decade… now I can just dye it the lovely color of my three year old’s and people will think it is natural… ah the many uses of children!! I only have one but I would bet she can give Brady a run, run, running for his money. The girl just NEVER stops! I’ve been going on the “put it in front of her” method of feeding… somedays to little result but yesterday she ate REAL sushi so I think we are heading in the right direction. Your insights may lead to more food going in so I look forward to trying some of your stuff out!

Cheers! (Sipping a virtual margarita with you!)

Just popping over from SITS. I have 3 picky boys too, although mine are big enough to cook their own darn food if they don’t like what I make. I’m also a Pampered Chef consultant, so I’m always interested in recipes. I’ll have to browse through here and see some of your great recipes.
