Thanksgiving surprise

Have you ever promised your kids something…

Then hoped they’d forget about it?

That doesn’t work with my oldest.

Nope, can’t put anything past Keegan.

He NEVER forgets.

So a few months back when he asked for a specific hair style.

One that I wasn’t so much a fan of…

I got sick of arguing.

I said OK…

But not till after school pictures.

So this week, guess what I had to hear all week?

Yup…It’s haircut time.

Keegan’s way.

So here he is.

Wait.

Kid’s sporting a hawk.

Not a faux hawk.

But a Mohawk.

My mother in law is going to freak at Thanksgiving.

As are all the other parents in his class.

Because guess what?

They all want the hawks too now!

I must admit…

He does look kinda cute.

And he reminds me of one of my favorite characters from back in the day…

Remember this guy?

  1. Hi Alex, I know Joe thru the company I work for and he talks about you & the boys all the time. As a mother of 3 girls ages 17, 20, 25 (2 hockey players) I can definite relate to it. I’m also a great cook and really enjoy your website. Please remind Joe that he has promised me a cookbook and I’m waiting patiently for it.

    Have a great Thanksgiving !!

  3. Mine has never wanted one, even when the WHOLE football team had one!

I’m in for a treat this year… going to a friend’s house, because the kiddies will be up in your neck of the woods. There will be 47 people there, of whom I’m met perhaps 7… I think I’m in for more than one “surprise!”

  4. LOL… it could always be worse…. remember that!!!

  5. Ha, ha, ha. My brother always wanted a mohawk. My mom always said no because he would likely remember, too.

    Gremlin. Too funny.
